The project “Weg in die Basis-Absicherung” was initiated by the BSI to simplify the introduction to IT-Grundschutz. The municipalities are the focus of the BSI here, but the checklists created for this purpose can also be used well at universities or colleges. The checklists offer the possibility of determining the state of affairs regarding information security and identifying the requirements to be implemented.

The core team captured all the checklists in an Excel file and added a checklist on the status of the ISMS setup in general. Dashboards were also developed to give an overview of the status of information security (based on the checklists), as well as a status on the filling level of the checklists.
